YOUTH KUNG FU PROGRAM

(BEGINNING SEPTEMBER 2nd 2008… call now to register)

TUESDAYS FROM 6 PM to 7 PM

Our Youth Kung Fu Program at TAI CHI KUNG FU OF LONG ISLAND (ages 6 and up) runs

DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR ONLY (from the first week in September to the third week in June). 

Dues for the program are $60 per calendar month payable at the first class of each month.  There is a one-time sign up fee of $50 which covers the cost of one school shirt, a uniform and a white belt (required uniform), protective headgear and insurance for the calendar year.  Additional school shirts are $15 each.

 *There are NO CONTRACTS nor are there any TEST FEES.

This unique youth kung fu program has been specifically designed to help students develop confidence, mental focus, self control, discipline, respect, strength, flexibility, personal resiliency, self defense skill, and a life-long interest in exercise, physical fitness and health. Safety, fun and kindness are the hallmarks of this well rounded Kung Fu program.

Our unique eclectic curriculum is comprised of techniques and drills borrowed from Tai Chi, Wing Chun Kung Fu, Kick Boxing and  many other arts. “Sifu Mike” (Sifu is Chinese for “teacher”) is a teacher of physical education at Jericho Middle School, head Kung Fu instructor at Coleman Country Day Camp, a licensed mental health counselor and director of Long Island Hypnotherapy and lifetime martial arts competitor and teacher.  Sifu Mike ensures that every student in our YOUTH KUNG FU PROGRAM experiences encouragement, praise and SUCCESS!!!

YOUTH KUNG FU RANK SPECIFIC CURRICULUM

*As a frequent motivational tool A BLACK STRIPE will be awarded to each student and placed on his or her belt by Sifu Mike every 5 classes in all ranks up to BROWN.  At BROWN BELT level a BLACK STRIPE will be awarded every 10 classes.
